"Jerry-Lee"Powder Red Merle, Copper, White DOB: 7 April 1992 Eyes clear 1998 OFA Excellent 24 months Jerry-Lee was the first red merle American Champion Australian Shepherd imported to the country and is one of the typiest dogs ever seen here. A dog whose type and style is recognised by International judges, he introduces some very influential bloodlines into Australia. Jerry is the nephew of Am Ch Bayshores Flapjack winner of the 1996 Quaker Oats Herding dog of the Year with an amazing 98 Best in Group wins!
A natural retriever Jerry-Lee can always be found with a toy, shoe, sock or any other moveable object in his mouth. It is extremely common to find visitors hopping down the hall in one shoe looking valiently for its missing mate. Never damaged these shoes can be found in Jerry's crate!
Jerry completed his Australian Championship with some very good wins and is now semi retired. He is proving himself to be an excellent stud and produces pups with exceptional temperaments, type and coat. Leanne & Owen Edwards of Lucratif Kennels in Western Australia and Leonie Pearson of Littlemate Kennels in Queensland have both produced very nice litters sired by Jerry-Lee.
1999 has proved a HUGE year for Jerry-Lee babies. Silvanwood Lonesome Bluz (Tre) was awarded Best In Group at a Champ show at 14 months of age. Littermates Silvanwood Highwayman and Silvanwood The Big Steal take out Puppy in Show on the same weekend. Buffy (The Big Steal) taking Puppy in Show at the Inagural Vic Specialty show under Breeder/Judge Mrs Pam Levin. Silvanwood Shame On You won Junior in Group at Champ level and Lucratif Obsessionatmidnite (Indy) was awarded Junior in Group at the competative Western Classic in WA. Silvanwood Highwayman took out Baby Puppy in Group first time in the ring at the Newcastle Ag Show. Hunter's littermate Silvanwood The Big Steal was awarded Baby Puppy in Group at the Canberra International Festival under Mr G Friedlander (Phillipines). During April Tre, Indy and Lucratif Follow My Dream have all been awarded Junior In Group. May has seen Tre go Junior in Group and Indy go Junior in Show on the first weekend in May! Silvanwood Stolen Kisses joined her other littermates winning Minor Puppy in group and taking challenge at her fourth show in South Australia. Jerry-Lee's offspring had a fantastic time at the 1999 NSW Specialty show. Four were shown and all won or placed in their breed classes. These outstanding young dogs prove Jerry-Lee's strength as a sire of exceptional quality and movement.
